Uzbekistan, Tashkent, October 18, 2021 – First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Azim Akhmedkhadzhaev held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of "Qishloq Qurilish Bank" JSCB Mr. Alisher Muratov, during which, between the Extra-budgetary Intersectoral Energy Saving Fund under the Ministry of energy and "Qishloq Qurilish Bank" JSCB, a general agreement was signed providing for a credit line of the Fund for the further allocation of consumer loans to the Uzbek people for the purchase of solar photovoltaic stations, solar water heaters, as well as household energy-efficient gas burners.
Loans for these purposes by the Bank from the Fund will be allocated for a period of up to five years, with interest payments at the basis rate set by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan on the day of the loan agreement.
We would like to note that with the direct support of the Ministry of Energy, the Fund also plans to open credit lines to banks for further financing energy efficiency projects, including improving the thermal insulation of buildings, with the introduction of energy efficient technologies and installations of renewable energy sources.
