On February 14, 2022, as part of the Energy Week Uzbekistan at World Expo 2020 (Dubai, UAE), Uzbekistan GTL Plant and Clariant signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
“Clariant, specialized in environmentally sustainable and innovative solutions in the field of chemistry, taking into account extensive experience of cooperation with industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan, as well as significant industrial growth in the republic, takes an interest in establishing long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with Ministry of Energy, Uzbekneftegaz JSC, and Uzbekistan GTL Plant in particular,” Dr. Ralf Weispaupt, director of Clariant’s Munich office, said at the meeting with representatives of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and Uzbekistan GTL Plant as part of the Energy Week Uzbekistan at World Expo 2020.
Representatives of Clariant noted that they are observing with great interest the ongoing reforms in the fuel, energy and industrial sectors of Uzbekistan, and today, given the great potential of the republic, they are carefully studying options to set up production of chemical reagents and catalysts in Uzbekistan.
The signed Memorandum determines aspects of cooperation in the field of supplies of the required chemical products to the GTL Plant.
