Lukoil has presented an air separation plant to the Bukhara branch of the Republican Scientific Centre for Emergency Medical Aid. The plant enables the provision of emergency medical care to residents of the Bukhara Region.
Professor Majit Kenjaev, Director of the Bukhara Regional Branch of the Republican Scientific Centre for Emergency Medical Aid, , noted the air separation plant is necessary equipment to provide emergency medical care to patients.
Until Lukoil’s assistance, the Centre faced challenges in providing sufficient oxygen supply for patients in need, as a quarter of daily patients required hospitalization and oxygen.
Professor Kenjaev added:
"Every day we provide emergency medical care to people with injuries and diseases. The medical air separation plant will solve all problems with the supply of purified and high-quality oxygen for emergency patients. This is a big step forward for the entire emergency care system in Uzbekistan. We became the first Centre in the country with such advanced equipment, while other emergency centres still do not have it.
“Now, using our own equipment, we can independently meet the need for oxygen-containing gas mixtures, deviating from third-party supplies and increasing the reliability of resuscitation. Now with the help of this air separation plant, oxygen cylinders will be refueled for the needs of other emergency centres in neighbouring regions.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to LUKOIL for the assistance provided, because equipping our centre with technological equipment for supplying purified oxygen will raise the quality of medical care to the public of Bukhara Region to a new level."
