On 20 January, the Ministry of Energy held a meeting with representatives of the Chinese company China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) headed by President Fan Yanshui.
CMEC is one of the largest engineering and trading companies in China and specialises in the construction of energy facilities in the field of generation, transmission and distribution. Currently, CMEC is active in over 150 countries.
During the talks, the parties discussed implementing investment projects and the potential for CMEC to participate in the construction of thermal power plants, solar photovoltaic stations, and localized production of oil/gas/power equipment.
The meeting concluded with an invitation to CMEC to participate in future energy sector tender processes.
