In social media, particularly on www.podrobno.uz, an article was published reporting that employees of Regional Electric Networks incorrectly installed a new electric meter. As a result, the meter showed records three times higher.
To clarify the situation, Regional Electric Networks JSC appealed to the consumer, who turned out to be S. Amirkhanova, who lives in the Central quarter of Chilanzar District.
The investigation found that the unclear numbering of flats on the electric panel, led to a meter connection error. This led to an inaccurate reading for the consumer. The Chilanzar electricity supply company rectified the error and the consumer’s account was rebalanced.
Uzbekistan retains its target to connect 7 million domestic consumers to the automated system of control and metering of electricity, including companies engaged in the production, transportation and distribution of electrical energy.
