On 22 January 2020, the construction site of the GTL plant in Uzbekistan was visited by representatives of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. They were joined by a delegation of Russian creditors of the project, including Gazprombank JSC, Roseximbank JSC and the Russian EXIAR Insurance Agency, which are some of the key partners of the project.
During the visit, representatives of the GTL project group presented a status update on the project and discussed other areas of cooperation within the investment project “Production of Synthetic Liquid Fuel based on the Purified Methane of Shurtan GCC.”
The delegation also met with representatives of the project management consultant TechnipFMC.
Currently, approximately 9,000 people are involved in the project. Over 7,500 are involved in construction and installation works with 905 units of construction and special equipment mobilised at the construction site. The work continues at an active pace.
In total, 901 sets of 1,045 (86%) sets of technological equipment have been delivered to the construction site, and 600 sets have already been installed in the technological zone.
Gazprombank JSC, Roseximbank JSC, EXIAR, and the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, participated in financing of the investment project based on the Purified Methane of Shurtan GCC (the project UzGTL/Oltin Yo'l GTL).
The Russian delegation will also meet with representatives of Uzbekneftegaz JSC to discuss other areas of cooperation between the companies.
